About Banterdeck

A deck of cheeky but funny lines — and the games that belong at the party.

It started as a private list: things to say when someone turns up late, when a mate leaves the party early, or when you are losing an argument and need an exit. The list grew, and now it holds 258 lines, 52 slang expressions and 11 drinking games.

Cheeky, but funny

The rule is simple: sharp enough to bite, funny enough that the other person laughs. Lines marked “crude” are exactly that — save them for people who can take it.

English and Norwegian

The site comes in English and Norwegian, and the app adds Swedish. Switch languages from the menu. Much of this started in Norwegian, so a few lines carry their original flavour.
